oh oh.. look at the lovely pair of shoes!! It's from Aldo and it cost me $120 bucks!!! ex!! and it's on 50% discount ok.. It's a killer, 4 inch and I can die wearing it, but it's pretty.. so what can I say?

And the ya zhou!! evening gown.. Now that they properly shorten the dress, it looks much better...


The long train makes it look like a long dress but it's not :p

After the longest longest time.. I finally got to see my gowns!!


That's my designer bowing to me!! wahahaha.. he should, after giving me such a headache, only letting me try the gown now.. panic leh..

But their work is always nice.. Just look at my gown.. .. oh oh disclaimer, this is just the first fitting, so it's only the basic dress, they still need to pile on lace and sequin and all the whatevers..

erm...

should I?? It's a little OTT.. this is the only piece which I'm not too sure about.. It's supposed to be long but in the end when putting the dress up on display, they thought that short would suit me better.. and after trying both version (one with skirt let down and the other with the skirt pinned up), I do agree that the short version looks nicer on me..

but then it's really ott.. and my ah dear confirm see already will give me that face which he always give me when I give suggestions... .. but then.. it's also kinda cute.. so here goes nothing..


Now excuse me, I gotta rush, gotta 登台 liao.. *lame
but this dress is really showy!! I really must convince my hubby to wear the damn hat so that he doesn't fade into the background!!

Laogong I love u, can u please wear the hat?? It's our day.. u must look special too mah!!

Anyway when I was trying on this red dress, everyone passing by the shop was just gathering around the door and looking :p *shy

Finally I can stop worrying about the gown.. so what's next on the list to worry about??

Some updates for the wedding next year, I'm getting my gowns done at Ted Collections!! Always always loved the dressed that Don comes up with, this time round with him as my designer, I'm sure I'll look great :p

He's gonna help me design a wedding gown, tea dress and an evening gown.. We're already on the same page for the tea dress, short dress with black lace at the bottom part so that it can match my knee high maroon boots!! I just love this guy~~

He's gonna help me get a top makeup artist, for only 500 bucks~~ that's so cheap! He recommends a photographer plus videographer, for 3000, now that's a little steep, we'll see how it goes ;p

*happy* *happy* everything is going on well :)

We're married

First weekend as a married couple and we're doing all the couple stuff already.. Nothing sweet and to be envious about, basically we cleaned up the house :p

I washed the toilet and did the laundry twice while my hubby was busy cleaning up the fish tank and reformatting my pc..

Ah.. the bliss of married life :p

2nd February 2007, Friday.. The day where Ah Dear and I became husband and wife ^^/

It's a day filled with pleasant surprises : )

The reception at the Ritz was just perfect, I expected nothing less from the hotel and they delivered everything I wanted them to, it was just perfect and well worth the money.

There were slight hiccups but nothing to get upset over, I just thought that the ceremony was a little too short, and before I knew it, I have the ring on my finger : )

I really had a speech planned out, I thought it was a very good speech but my execution sux :p I admit that, I just could not stop crying.. I'm a crybaby..

Jun, my babe, who helped out with the organization! Thanks girl~~ What can I do without you?!

Zhen, Tian and Xianhe, the three pretty ladies, for helping out with all the other stuff.. :)

Mei and Xinjie, the two cutest girls, for being the receptionist as well as videographer

Marcus, Ah dear's man, for being our mc and dressing up so nicely :p

Of course I need to thank everyone who were there that day, thank you for sharing out joy, you guys made it a special day.

After the "showroom" session of our suite, everyone went back and it was privacy time for Ah Dear and I. Though it was only a 2 hour ceremony, we totally worn out, our backs were hurting from all the standing.. I can't imagine what will happen next year.. I hate the heels!!

We lazed in the room for awhile before making our way down to the pool which was empty. We were just having loads of fun, splashing water, jumping in and out of the pool and the jacuzzi :p Hey we had the pool all to ourselves, of course we must make full use of it :p I think that's the reason why I fell sick, we were challenging each other, see who can stay longer in the cold jacuzzi pool :p and it was really cold.. We were happily jumping from the hot jacuzzi then the cold jacuzzi and then back tot he hot jacuzzi, I think I deserve to be sick *sniffles*

We were hungry when we got back to the room but room service was a tad too pricey so it's dabao over at Marina. We had a pleasant surprise when we were having our dinner, someone sent a bottle of champagne as well as strawberries to our room!! There was no names or anything, so we dunno who sent them, my guess would be Roger, coz he gave us champagne glasses and it's so like him to go all the way and give us champagne as well.

Talking about gifts, we actually got a roomdrop when we got to the room. No prize for guessing who gave that :p It was so like them, the perils of organizing Champion's Forum.. hee..

Their gifts are.. *ahem* very nice but.. *ahem* hahaha.. it's only for Ah Dear and my eyes :p All I can say is that their gift is... very sweet indeed..

We got flowers and wedding certificate holders from my dearest Ivan and Ah Dear's friend :p it's brought from the same place so it's exactly the same, down to the wrapper.. hee.. but we still like it alot :)

There's champagne glasses from Roger!! Nothing but the best from the boss and I just love them, they were exactly what I wanted..

The next morning, we had another anonymous gift, Brand's chicken stock and bird nest hamper!! Again, no names, so we have no idea who sent them :p

All in all, it was a great great weekend, with everyone blessings, we will definitely be very xinfu.

Your Mailbox is Full

What a nice greeting email for the new year :p so it's shifting time, moving emails out of that folder so that new mails can come in. In the end, it took over an hour for all the new mails to come in and now I have like 200+ mails to read and revert on. What's new, this always happens after a long break.

Work work work. It's gonna be a blur from now till march with my solemnization and conference going on. Well things are more or less done for the solemnization, I only need to pay the deposit for the hotel, find a photographer, get a make-up artist and flowers and I'm done.

I have a pretty good start to 2007, met up with the babes on New Year's day, everyone was looking good and fresh for the new year :)

After lunch, we went shopping around and Ah Dear and I managed to find the perfect wedding bands :) They don't come cheap but it's something we're gonna wear forever, so it's worth every cent. Oh, mine comes with around 45 small diamonds :) Oh of course it's perfect.

Really very happy that things are more or less settled for the solemnization, I'm pretty excited about the whole thing now that the major hurdles are over and done with :) My Ah Dear is excited too :p

Well think it's time to go back to my mails. *must work* *need money*

Platinum Card in the house

Ok, it should be in the wallet :p but who cares.

Ah Dear got me a supplementary card a few week's back. Citibank Platinum Dividend card, that's the second credit card I have. Well it's sweet of him to get me another card, but it's really a challenge for me to have so many cards. Yes, 2 is too many for me, in fact 1 is already too many.

I don't really enjoy shopping but I enjoy spending money, living on credit is not a good thing and a credit card makes spending invisible till I get the bill at the end of the month. I don't like the shock of seeing just how much I've spent.

It may be a sup card, the bill may be sent to Ah Dear, but I don't live off him. I pay for myself, all the bills signed to the sup card will be paid by me and not him. I don't like the idea of living off someone, I enjoy being my own person, I earn my own allowance and I pay for my own stuff.

Living off someone sounds like a good idea till you see all the little strings that comes along with it, anything that the person do not like, you can't do coz he might get unhappy and cut off your credit at anytime. Nah, I prefer to be independent.

Oh, talking about the sup card, I'm surprised at how lax banks are these days, gone were the days where you need to be the top 1% spender to get a plat card, now with a basic income of 30k a year, anyone can get a plat card. What's the use of plat card when you're still bounded by the 2x monthly salary credit limit? Oh, it's good for the bank coz they charge you extra annual fees for getting a plat card instead of a normal card. Bah.

The timer is ticking, we've only 5 weeks to get everything done, I'm a little worried that we can't get everything done on time. For ROM, there's the 3 weeks waiting period, and then we have to invite the JP. *panic*

Worse come to worse, we shall do it at the Registry of Marriage then go to a nice hotel for lunch or something. I don't like that idea but time is seriously running out.

Two left feet

I can't even do a back-slide properly.. gee..

I'm helping out with a musical and unfortunately, not everyone can be at the practices so I have to stand in. It's horrible, it's one thing mimicking the instructor on how to dance, it's another with I HAVE TO DANCE with someone.

Sorry, I cannot dance. Period.

I can't "flow" with the music and I'm too "proper", one step out of sync and I'll be using the rest of the time finding that proper step back, which never happens.

I love to watch people dance though, I love ballroom dancing and I hope one day, I could do a waltz, but i can screw up something as simple as a back-slide, I think waltz can only come about if I have a super cute tutor and lots of practice.

Our instructor is this gay malay guy, but he's real good, I love it when he does all the saucy stuff, he's so much better than the girls :p And his body is damn nice, I never liked a bulky guy, what I like is definition and that's what he have, very define muscles, so nice.. Too bad he's gay. Oh well.

I'm enjoying the rehearsals coz it's fun watching all the senior management sweat it out in the studio :p I'm talking senior as in regional directors and stuff, some can dance despite their size whilst others are.. .. Well at least they bother to show up, not like the others who promised to show up but never did.

So you think you can dance?? Nah..

The ROM thing is giving me a big headache, fucked up Goodwood Park, I rather do it at Intercont. I don't care about the price, I care more about the service attitude, so what if you're an old established hotel?? Lousy service means lousy service, and you call that a lobby? My office is bigger than that. Hrmp.

Went house-hunting over the weekend and we saw this flat that's pretty nice, mid-floor with marble flooring, only thing is, we would need to top up.

I think it's back to the hunting, I don't really want something that needs a top-up.

The other thing to be troubled about is the wedding dinner, it's a year plus away but it's time to look for somewhere already. Ah Dear and I really liked Rasa Sentosa coz the place is cool and the pricing is surprisingly reasonable. The only thing is, his mum keeps going on and on about how hard it is to get to the place.

Gee.. we can always arrange for transport, and it's our wedding dinner, why should we care how other people are gonna reach the place, that's their problem, not mine. And we ARE going to ARRANGE for transportation. haiz..

Anyway we are gonna explore Nobel House at UIC, Ah Dear's sis says it's good. And the other place to consider is International Seafood (aka Big Splash), since my family knows the manager personally, being patrons for over 20 years!? Arrangements should be an ease.

And International Seafood serves the best.. seafood of course, and the pricing is reasonable, last sat, we had sea bass, prawns, crabs, lobsters.. All for just around 250 bucks, that's really cheap and all of us were stuffed to the hilt.

The only problem is the original location is under renovation now and though the projected date of completion is late 2007, it's still a little risky given the projected dates are just projected dates.

Still, that's my no. 1 choice for now :)

Come to think of it, it's really a waste of time and money.. ROM on the yacht, haha.. Since we are going to have a traditional wedding in 2008, why waste the money now?? It's just being stupid.

Scarlet Hotel? Nice.. but still just a waste of money. So is Shangrila.

Been watching Prison Break lately and omg!! I love that guy, love him to bits.. Just look at how amazingly cool his tattoos are!! Man.. Mei's friend just got a tattoo yesterday, it was nice. Now it's time for me to go back on my research for the perfect tattoo..

Wedding Blues

Nope, I'm not getting the jitters, the plan is still to get married in early 2007 and to "officially" get married on 2/2/2008. Remember that date people :p

The problem now is, our schedules are packed for next year. Initially we planned to get married on 2/2/2007, then I realized that I have a training scheduled on that date, damn.. I'm supposed to be in Hong Kong then. Soon after that week would be Chinese New Year, then I'll be flying off again for a conference and will be back in early March.

Guess what, Ah dear is having his reservist in March and he's flying off to Taiwan for 3 weeks!!

How the heck are we gonna find the time to get married??

We are starting to hunt for a flat and we plan to get it by Q107, now that means we have to register our marriage by the same time, but the thing is, when would we have the time?! I don't want to just settle for any date, ROM date should be meaningful. Damn damn damn.

Just when my friend gave me the perfect idea to hold the ROM ceremony.. damn.. I wanna register my marriage on a boat at sunset on 2/2/07!!!! Such a beautiful setting and guess what, I'll be in Hong Kong!! What perfect timing. Even if I'm not going to Hong Kong, I will be darn busy the week before and would not have time to prepare for my ROM. Can I say DAMN again? Damnit..

Am at home right now.. migraine is killing me, what's new?? I can't sleep, I can't rest, might as well blog and hopefully sleep will come after I stare at the screen for too long.

I'm really getting old.. I'm never so weak in my life, back when I was in school, I'm never so sick that I have to visit the doc, most times I just need to self medicate and I'm ok, but these days.. I'll fall sick or something every time I travel. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Dubai gave me rashes and I've yet completely recover.. It's time to go see a proper skin doctor, I look horrible right now and I'm itching like half of the time. I know scratching aggravates the rash, but it's really very itchy!! Most times I scratch without even knowing it and by the time I realise, it's too late :(

Eczema plus rash, it's really not a pretty sight. And parts are peeling like I have sunburn, which is supposed to be good coz it means my skin is recovering. yeah right, my skin is so dry now I feel like I aged 20 years.. old auntie already lah..

I just wanna recover..
