Where have all the flowers gone?

So many people have gone off blogging these days. It's really a rude shock. Where else am I going to get my daily fix of meaningless nutter, insightful thoughts and endless banters..

Blogging had become way overrated these days.. with so much media hype.. I think many reporters have a personal vendetta against many of the bloggers, coz the bloggers are more popular than them?

I miss the days where blogging is the nearest form of freedom of speech in Singapore, where one can pretty much speak their minds on any matters that interest them. That is what the Internet is about, freedom of speech, no constraints, no holding backs. These days, we all have to watch our words, coz you never when you will offend someone and that person takes it as a personal offense.. and happily goes make a police report and put you into a shitload of problem.

Then again, I'm really surprised at the number of people who have nothing better to do. I'm a person with nothing much to do on most days, I have tons of free time on hand, so I read a lot of blogs everyday. But I don't so so much free time that I start making hurtful remarks on other's blogs, I don't have so much free time that I start making hate sites.

Like in my previous post on Trolls, I'm really amazed at the people who throws up such hateful remarks, people who go all out to make a particular person look bad. If you have nothing nice/constructive to say, it's best not to say anything. Giving all those silly (in my opinion) remarks on what a bitch, etc, just makes you seem small. Coz you as a person is so small to stoop to such levels as in leaving such remarks. Coz you as a person is so minisucle that you have to make someone else look bad before you can feel better. What kinda person are you? Are you sure you are living on the right planet?

Honestly, when these people say that they have a very good life, they have a good career, family and loved ones, I don't believe them for one second. The reason being that it's not easy to maintain a good career, family and loved ones. Let's talk about career first, it's time-consuming, in order to prove your worth, you have to spend tons of time and effort in your work. Unless you are like me, who is really not bothered, and work for the sake of money, then you will have alot of free time on hand.

Now another arguement can come up, saying that the trolls are already established in their careers and thus do not have to spend so much time proving themselves. It's another duh arguement. First of all, if you are so established in your career, why would you still flame people and commit such childish acts? What kinda maturity level are you at? What kinda company employs such people in their management? Let me know, I would love to join that company :)

And the more established a person is in his career, the less time he have for himself. Just looking at my bosses gives a very good indication of this. They are hardly around, always flying all over the world for different events and classes. They are established in their careers and they are busy like nobody's business.

Having a good family and loved ones.. That needs a lot of time and effort too, I seriously don't think we are spending enough time together now that both of us are working. We only have evenings and weekends together and that time is like super duper short.

So there, those trolls are people who are stuck in their dead-end excuse of a career, have no one to love, and are so juvenile. Or maybe they are really just kids.. Students have the most time (other than exam period) on hand compared to any other group of people. They alone have the most spare time and energy on their hands to do all sorts of crazy stuff. Like me, I love "chasing stars" when I was young, that was so crazy and silly, but I had fun and no one was hurt in the process.

I cannot say the same things about trolls, they did hurt people coz they start out with the intention to hurt.

Why do we have to hurt each other? Is it that hard to learn to live together without hurting each other?

I don't get these trolls, and I guess I don't want to get it.
