Now that's crap.. you put together a bunch of bimbos and you expect them to comment on things like entrapment? Ain't surprising to see comments like if-Orlando-Bloom-wanted-to-lure-me-into-danger-I-sure-ain't-gonna-say-no-yada-yada. Man..
I'm not even bothered to put STOMP's link here.. it's just crap.
You can expect a bunch of girlies who care more about their hair and makeup to comment on such issues, they don't lack the knowledge, I must say some of them are clever. But the issue is, do they even have the interest to talk about such stuff?
Entrapment does not interest them, GSS does.
I dunno about the guys, never hear of them at all. Though I read an interview on one, at least he's pretty candid.
In the Star Blog section, the topic for the week is "Entrapment - legal, yes, but ethical?"
Now I have issues with this topic even before I read any of the discussions.. Just go on to google and search for entrapment..
"ENTRAPMENT - A person is 'entrapped' when he is induced or persuaded by law enforcement officers or their agents to commit a crime that he had no previous intent to commit; and the law as a matter of policy forbids conviction in such a case." -'Lectric Law Library
"Entrapment n. in criminal law, the act of law enforcement officers or government agents to induce or encourage a person to commit a crime when the potential criminal expresses a desire not to go ahead. The key to entrapment is whether the idea for the commission or encouragement of the criminal act originated with the police or government agents instead of with the "criminal." Entrapment, if proved, is a defense to a criminal prosecution. The accused often claims entrapment in so-called "stings" in which undercover agents buy or sell narcotics, prostitutes' services, or arrange to purchase goods believed to be stolen." -Legal Dictionary
Oh, I just read XX's post and she made sense.. see.. they are not stupid, it's just whether they are interested or not.
It's so typical to have discussions like the above in Singapore, entrapment is totally NOT LEGAL in all the First World nations in the world but Singapore. What does that say about us? We have too many police that have nothing better to do, so they have to entrap some gays to make it seem like they are working hard?
If there's no evil, there can be no good. So they have to make someone seem like the bad guy so that they can look like the good guy?
The more I learn about our nation, the more disappointed I am.
Aiyah.. dunno and can't really be bothered :p
I'm looking forward to my CommunicAsia tmr!! Yeah!! NTT DOCOMO!! Whoopie!!
